About You - Overview

Understanding your dosha

You are unique. According to Maharishi Ayurveda the body is made up of three doshas (doe-shuhz) called Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They guide your first responses to environmental stressors of all kinds – climate, dietary, physical, mental and emotional. You have a unique combination of these three doshas, which are meant to all work together in harmony. When these doshas are not balanced, the dosha you are strongest in tends to be the area you are most likely to experience symptoms of imbalance.
